WILLIAM ROSE BENET HANDWRITTEN LETTER SIGNED, "Wm. Rose Benet", on "The Saturday Review" letterhead, 8.5 x 11, by Pulitzer Prize Poetry winner and founder of The Saturday Review, he rejects a submission for publication. In full: "Dear Mr. Moore: Thanks for your letter. I'm sorry we can't use this. Sincerely." Letter folds, crease at top edge, and some age toning, otherwise in fine condition. 

William Rose Benet (1886-1950) In 1942, he was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry. He began the Saturday Review of Literature in 1924 and continued to edit and write for it until his death. He was the older brother of Stephen Vincent Benet.
