William Pierce Rogers (1913-2001) Signed Photo, "William P. Rogers", 8 x 10 mat finish, by the American politician, diplomat, and lawyer. He served as United States Attorney General under President Dwight D. Eisenhower and United States Secretary of State under President Richard Nixon. In 1973, as the Secretary of State, he signed the agreement to end the Vietnam War at the first of two signing ceremonies of the Paris Peace Accords in Paris, France. Rogers also led the investigation into the explosion of the space shuttle Challenger. The Rogers Commission was the first investigation to criticize NASA management for its role in negligence of safety in the Space Shuttle program. Comes with the original "Department of State, U. S. A., Washington, D.C." mailing envelope. Both items are in fine condition, with opening tears and creases to the envelope.
