William Herbert Davidson (1905-92) Extremely Rare Signed Harley-Davidson Dealership Agreement, "Wm. H. Davidson", 8.5 x 14, October 26, 1956, Milwaukee, WI, the son of founder William A. Davidson, but the real driving force in the growth and development of the company in he 1940's and 1950's. He was president of Harley-Davidson Motorcycles from 1942 to 1971. In 1930 he won the AMA National Enduro Champion title. He was inducted into the Motorcycle Hall of Fame. This is a standard early dealer agreement contract between Harley-Davidson and Pennsylvania dealer "Paul W. Haines, dba Haines Harley-Davidson Sales", in which the latter agrees to purchase "Motorcycles, Sidecars, Servicecars, Package Trucks, Chassis" and other parts and accessories over the course of one year. Signed at the conclusion in fountain pen by William H. Davidson, Paul W. Haines, and a salesman. In fine condition with a few minor stains.
