Whiting", 3 x 1, formerly President of Whiting Paper Company, founded by his father in 1882, was Secretary of Commerce from August 22, 1928 to March 4, 1929. Appointed to replace Herbert Hoover, when the latter received the Republican Presidential nomination, he remained in office for the remainder of President Coolidge's term. The Whiting Paper Company of Menasha, WI, went out of business in 2016 after 134 continuous years of operation. In fine condition.
