Trygve Halvdan Lie (1896-1968) Hand-Signed Envelope Return Address, "Trygve Lie" hand-signed above typed name and title as Secretary General, 6.5 x 3.25, with United Nations stamp affixed, postmarked June 22, 1951, by the Norwegian politician, labour leader, government official and author. He served as Norwegian foreign minister during the critical years of the Norwegian government in exile in London from 1940 to 1945. From 1946 to 1952 he was the first Secretary-General of the United Nations. Come with the original transmittal letter on "United Nations, New York" letterhead, 6 x 9, "With the compliments of the Secretary-General of the United Nations". Both items are in fine condition.
