RICHARD RODGERS (1902-79) SIGNED CHECK, “Richard Rodgers”, 8 x 3, January 22, 1979 (just months before his death), on a Williamson Music Inc., New York, N. Y. check, made out to William Hammerstein during the year (1979) that he directed the revival of his father’s Oklahoma. A music publishing company founded by and for writers, Williamson Music was established in 1944 by the legendary duo of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II (both sons of men named William). This boldly signed check represents a wonderful example of American musical history, is in fine condition, and is PSA/DNA authenticated.
