SIR CHANDRASEKHARA VENKATA RAMAN (1888-1970) SIGNED CARD, “C. V. Raman, 9 April 1962”, on a card 5 x 3, by the Indian physicist known for his work in the field of light scattering (the Raman effect) for which he won the 1930 Nobel Prize, founder of the Indian Journal of Physics (1926), founded the Indian Academy of Sciences (1933), studied the physics of music sound (acoustics), and determined the cause of the blue color of the sea.
