OTTO HEINRICH WARBURG (1883-1970) SIGNED CARD, “Dr. Otto H. Warburg/Dahlem, 14.XI.31”, on a card 4.25 x 3.5, by the German physiologist, medical doctor and recipient of the 1931 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his discovery of the nature and mode of the respiratory enzyme. Warburg investigated the metabolism of tumors and the respiration of cells, especially cancer cells. He received the Iron Cross for bravery during WWI. The card is dated the year he was named director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Cell Physiology in Berlin-Dahlem and the year he won the Nobel Prize. It is in fine condition, with minor age toning.
