MAILER, NORMAN HAND-SIGNED CARD & HIS TYPED LETTER QUOTING VOLTAIRE

NORMAN MAILER HAND-SIGNED CARD, "Norman Mailer", 3 x 5, black ink, comes with twice pulitzer prize winning author's typed letter, on his personal letterhead, quoting Voltaire, secretarially signed by Judith McNally, his long-time assistant, 7.25 x 11, In full: "Just a line to tell you that one of my favorite observations is 'Once a philsopher, twice a pervert.' This immortal estimate of the likelihoods was, I gather, coined by Voltaire. Cheers." Meaning that if you do something once it's a learning experience, but if you persist doing it then it's a genuine proclivity. Also comes with a 1965 postcard photo of a young Mailer. All three items in fine condition and would make an attractive framed ensemble.
