Bunting", 8 x 10, b/w, portrait, by the influential American Radcliffe College's fifth president (1960); November 3, 1961 Time  Magazine cover story; was responsible for fully integrating women into Harvard University; microbiologist; Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences; President Lyndon Johnson elected her as the first woman to serve on the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission. In fine condition, with scattered light creasing and surface impressions. Comes with a newspaper photograph of her with President Johnson at the White House when she was sworn in as a member of the Atomic Energy Commission.
