Bordet”, on a card 4.5 x 3.5, 25 December 1920, Brussels, by the Belgian immunologist and microbiologist, who won the 1919 Nobel Prize for his discoveries relating to immunity. His handwritten note (in French), translated in full: “The progress achieved in recent years by the United States in the domain of scientific production is extremely remarkable. From this point of you as from many others, the United States may serve as an example for other nations.” In fine condition, with minor age toning.
