BRYAN ALL 3 SIGNED SCOPES CREATION-EVOLUTION TRIAL ARCHIVE, including a copy of the Public Acts of the State of Tennessee Passed by the Sixty-Fourth General Assembly 1925 "Teaching of evolution prohibited...any theory that denies the story of the divine creation of man as taught in the Bible...Any teacher violating this section shall be guilty...."signed and inscribed "For Seymour M. Kessler, John T. Scopes", 6.25 x 9.5; a bold signature of the defense attorney "Clarence Darrow", on a 3.5 x 2 card; and a typed letter signed by the prosecuting attorney "W. J. Bryan", 8.5 x 7 The Commoner personal letterhead, May 18, 1904, in which he is permitting the charitable use of his name. In overall very good to fine condition, with splitting to some of the multiple intersecting folds on the Bryan letter. Comes with copies of multiple trial photos, and a nine-page copy of the "Chronology of The Evolution-Creationism Controversy". This historic archive would make an exceptional ensemble presentation.
