John Herschel Glenn Jr. (1921-2016) Signed Photo, "To Tina, John Glenn", 8 x 10, color, shows him standing in front of the U. S. Capitol Building during his first run for U.S. Senate, by the United States Marine Corps aviator, engineer, astronaut, businessman, and U. S. Senator from Ohio. He was the first American to orbit the Earth, circling it three times in 1962 on the Friendship 7 mission. Glenn flew on Space Shuttle Discovery's STS-95 mission, making him, at age 77, the oldest person to fly in space and the only person to fly in both the Mercury and the Space Shuttle programs. Comes with the original mailing envelope with a return address "Mr. and Mrs. John H. Glenn, Columbus, OH" and is postmarked Mar 8, 1971. Both items are in fine condition, with open tear and creases in the envelope.
