Grant's Secretary of War he was in charge of the Great Sioux War (after discovery of the Black Hills gold and U. S. railroad expansion west that led to Battle of the Little Big Horn), and the controversial Election of 1876, that almost caused a second civil war; managed Northern Central Railway during the American Civil War insuring supplies and troops movement; five-term U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania; son of Lincoln's Sec. of War, Simon Cameron. In fine condition, with some age toning and mounting remnants on the reverse.
