GENERAL GEORGE S. PATTON, JR. SIGNED FREE FRANKED ENVELOPE, "G. S. Patton", on "Headquarters, Third United States Army, Office of the Commanding General" envelope, 9 x 4, postmarked Oct 1, 1944, which was when General Patton's Third Army was mired in a near-stalemate with the Germans in the Battle of Metz in France and within a few weeks they would reach Bastogne opening a corridor for relief and resupply of the besieged forces which was considered one of the most remarkable achievements during WWII. In fine condition, with minor age toning.
