Major General Charles L. Decker (1906-83) Signed Slip, "Charles L. Decker" (signed as Deputy Theater Judge Advocate For Operations), 4 x 1.5, c. 1947, by American military officer, West Point graduate, who served in Europe with XIII Corps during WWII, becoming Deputy Theater Judge Advocate of the European Theater of operations, in Berlin, after V-E Day. From 1947 to 1951 Col. Decker was chiefly concerned with the revision of the Army's military legal system (he co-authored "The Serviceman and the Law"). He is the founder and first Commandant of the Judge Advocate General's School, United States Army, in Charlottesville (1951-55), 25th Judge Advocate General of the Army (1961-63). General Decker, a Georgetown law alumnus and adjunct faculty member and later became Director of the National Defenders Project. In fine condition, with minor age toning.
