Photographs reproduced by his “Ives Process” largely replaced the use of hand-engraved wood block and steel plate illustrations and remained the standard process for photographically illustrating books, magazines, and newspapers during the next 80 year. His handwritten quote, in full: “That which is true, endures.” The card is dated 10.21.13 in another hand on the lower left and is in fine condition, with minor age toning.
