ALEXANDER FLEMING (1881-1955) SIGNED PHOTOGRAPH, “Alexander Fleming”, an extremely rare vintage matte-finish 4.25 x 6.25 photograph of an artist’s portrait, nicely signed in fountain pen, museum-quality silk matting and gold framing to an overall size of 10.5 x 12.75. Sir Michael Fleming was a physician and microbiologist who discovered penicillin, the world’s first broadly effective antibiotic substance, for which he shared the 1945 Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine. This rare signed photograph is in fine condition, with a trivial paperclip impression to top edge. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
