FELIX FRANKFURTER SIGNED HANDWRITTEN NOTE ON SUPREME COURT LETTERHEAD, signed "F. F.," on "Supreme Court of the United Sttes, Washington, D. C. letterhead card, 4.25 x 3.25, Feb 3 (no year), Frankfurter writes to "Morris," in part: "...Many thanks for your paper...All best to you! F. F.". Small mounting traces on the reverse, otherwise fine, clean condition. Comes with a 5 x 7 photo of him in his court robe. He was active politically, helping to found the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) in 1920. Given a chair at Harvard in 1921. Felix Frankfurter (1882-1965) was a friend and advisor to President Franklin D. Roosevelt who appointed him to the Supreme Court in 1939. He was a noted advocate of judicial restraint in the judgments of the Court.
