ELBERT H. GARY SIGNED CARD "E. H. Gary", 3 x 2 cream colored card, by the key founder of U. S. Steel in 1901 and namesake of steeltown, Gary, Indiana. In fine condition. 

Elbert H. Gary (1846-1927) was Chairman of the Board of Directors of U.S. Steel from 1901 until his death in 1927, Gary, a former attorney and Judge, was noted for promoting high wages and instituting safety measures and welfare benefits and stock options for his employees. The town of Gary, Indiana, which was founded (1906) by U.S. Steel, is named in his honor.
