The Air Mail envelope has a US 5 cent Air Mail Stamp and is also stamped "First U.S. Air Mail Pilot," with a picture of his plane, a Bleriot XI. In fine condition.
Earle Ovington (1879-1936) was an American aeronautical engineer, aviator and inventor, and served as a lab assistant to Thomas Edison.
