NIELS BOHR (1885-1962) SIGNED PHOTO, “Niels Bohr”, 1 pg., 12mo., a black and white bust photograph, by the Danish physicist who made foundational contributions to understanding atomic structure and atomic theory, for which he received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1922. He was also a philosopher and a promoter of scientific research. He found the Institute of Theoretical Physics at the University of Copenhagen. During the Nazi occupation of Denmark during WWII he resided in the United States and worked on the Manhattan Project, the U.S.-led effort to develop the atomic bomb. This extremely rare signed photo is in fine condition.
