HUGO L. BLACK (1886-1971) TYPED LETTER SIGNED, “Hugo L. Black”, 1 pg., February 29, 1968, on “Supreme Court of the United States” personal letterhead, 8 x 9.5, by the American lawyer, politician, and jurist who served as a U. S. Senator from Alabama (1927-37) and as an Associate Justice of the U. S. Supreme Court (1937-71). His letter is thanking Mr. Mark E. Brown, Venice, FL, in part: “This note is to express my appreciation for your birthday greetings extended in your letter…together with the very clever article you enclosed entitled “I Am 70 Today”. As you thought I would, I found the article delightful….” In fine condition, with the usual letter folds, and a few staple holes in the upper left corner.
