Adelaide Ristori (1822-1906) Handwritten note signed, "Adelaide Ristori Del Grillo, Roma Maggio 1880", 4 x 3, on her crown-embossed card, by the highly popular, successful Italian actress, specializing in dramatic tragedies. Following her 1846 marriage to the marchese Giuliano Capranica del Grillo, she was often referred to as the Marquise. She performed throughout the World, including four tours in America.
